How An Order Works

Determine how you want your mugs or sets made. Ask yourself questions like - is it for an event or special occasion, resell, promotional gifts etc.? Do I want glossy gift boxes included for each mug ? This will determine the way it should be made to best suit your needs. We can create them in many ways. It might be one sided photo only, or photo on both sides. Maybe one photo and text on second side (popular way), or a full wrap design of yours, or you might use one of our own professionally designed creations to accent your images that we have created for these situations. You can view our other retail pages for more ideas. Many of the designs are available and set to print in volume, but not all without a little adjustment on our end. Click the button below (after reading image notes/dimensions below it first) to open email then attach your images and include notes on what you want. To save time though, please read all information first on this page before sending information so we have it all so we don't have to bother you too much with questions that we will need in order to produce a high quality mug product. If we think we can show you something that might work better then the original plan we'll show you that too. We want your mugs to look the best they possibly can.

STEP 1

Sending images information:
Best imaging for nice results are scanned photos or art at 300 dpi jpg, or very large 72 dpi digtal photos. If attaching to e-mail, the image file size can not be over 10 megs per email.

Image dimensions: As a general rule 8.25 inches wide by 3 inches high works best in full wrap mug mode and if dual sided no wider then 3.75 to keep things nice and centered for each side.

STEP 2
BUY A PROOF MUG Recommended for the larger jobs to make sure you are happy with the results. If you don't want to pay for one, or just buying a case and have no plans on reordering the same thing, you may not need one. We just want to be sure you are happy with the results. If you are planning to reorder on an ongoing bases then this would be something you should purchase. If you are not buying a proof mug them move on to step 3

A Note about sublimation printing and basic care of sublimation printed mugs:

Dye Sublimation is not an exact color matching system but we feel you will be very pleased with our results.
Photos and art look very natural although sometimes certain high saturated colors blocks may have a slight tone difference then your original work. What you see on your monitor in sampling may not be the exact color output of the product but pretty close in most instances in overall output expectation. Very close color matching can be achieved but if this is your need then it will cost you much more in proofing then we are offering here at this price. If you are very critical then I suggest you always buy a proof before hand regardless of who you buy from.

Although the ingredients from our suppliers we use to produce our finished sublimation products are some of the best in the industry and rated high for UV resistance, dishwasher safe as well as microwavable, DC Designs as the decorator recommends hand washing as the best method to keep these images looking like new for years. The main reason hand washing is recommended as the dominant method is there are so many different dishwasher detergents on the market and some are more corrosive then others, as well as some households with extremely high water temperatures so we would recommend hand washing as the preferred way to keep your images fresh looking. We have many that have been through these sort of things constantly and still look almost new but we still recommend hand washing as good art image protocol. The only other main consideration is if your mug is used for display purposes it's best to not keep it in constant direct sunlight near a window as sunlight will degrade about anything printed after extended periods of time.
