![]() Best Image size and Resolution to send us to work with: For full color sublimation imprinting, best results are achieved using 300 dpi imaging. Mugs and Coasters are of a smaller size format and 72 dpi may work if they are in the same size or larger dimension size to begin with so they don't have to be over expanded. If at all possible though and especially if embedded text is involved in piece on your end, please try to a send a 300 dpi copy. If you are scanning something to send us then do it at 300 dpi. If it's a lower resolution from something you can redo, don't try to increase the dpi (called resampling) thnking it will improve things as it will only blur the image. Often we use 72 dpi photos that come to us that way and depending on what size product they are going on and what original size they are, we can get reasonable results. Since we often add text later in our 300 dpi environment things will stay sharp. We will let you know if we think the quality is an issue and then make suggestions on ways to improve it. For mouse pads. T-shirts, cutting boards and other things of a larger size format, it's always best to work with a 300 dpi image in the general size are you planning to be working with, although large dimension 72 dpi images not ovr compressed will often shrink down to about the size we need in our 300 dpi environment and work fine after a few tricks. Problems more often occur when folks send small low resolution images that are mug size and then expect them to be blown up for a larger scale product like a T-shirt. The other areas of importance is to not over compress your jpgs. These jpg files will work fine for out purposes if set up right, But use a minimum of compression so the don't look muddy and blurred. They may take a little longer to upload but the results will produce much better results if you send us nice and sharp imaging. Send all images to sales@dcdesigns.net, our high speed connection.
We can take up to 10 megs before the mail server has an error but if sending
multiple images send one per email if more then a meg or two a piece.
Common files we work with are .pgs, tif, photoshop (.psd) files.
If you are sending lots of stuff might be easier to mail it in on CD
