| Q & A
Question: How do you fit images which may be more portrait or landscape that are not a perfect square into your automated template and make them look nice? Answer: We designed this template to make almost any sized image work and look nice with all the built in design features surrounding your work. If you are a painter you paint for the size of your canvas, and our canvas is our mugs. Our art technicians have worked with photos and art for years and will first attempt to fit it without a matte involved. We will subtly crop slightly and/or use very slightly un-proportionate rescales. We know how to do this and make it unnoticeable and we are working with a cylinder shape. If we feel it would look better retaining the entire image after trying the above, we will then embed a background fill and re-size your image for best display size over this matte. We pull a color from your image that will not detract from your work and accent your image with a slight shadowing effect as shown on the right as examples. Question: Can I do this image set-up part myself? Answer: Yes! Our template is set up to work with a 3 x 3 inch square 600 dpi image to create the best quality possible. This is a file 1800x1800. Simply create a file this size and adjust your image how ever you want just make sure to fill this entire area. Then save a flat jpg copy with no or little compression and e-mail us. Our email will accept up to 10 meg files and this file although good size will be well under that size. In the event you can't expand an image to achieve a nice sharp image at 600, then send us a 300 dpi 3 inch square version and we will use our 300 template which will still produce better results then most companies offer. Our email icon / link is at the bottom. Be sure to send your photo! Question: What about the mugs themselves. Are they durable? Answer: These 11 oz. sublimation processed "hard coated" mugs are rated microwavable and dishwasher safe by the mug and ink manufacture and is FDA approved. We only use premium grade ingredients in their manufacture. As the decorator of this product though, we do advice that certain household conditions involving dishwasher heated drying and washing cycles/detergents may exist that might damage the image and finish of the mug if this is your normal way of handling an art mug. Therefore as a general rule for all sublimation mugs from any source, we recommend that hand washing as the best way to keep your mug looking fresh for years to come. Other companies often fail to mention this but we want your products to shine for years! If you are not drinking out of it daily and it's sitting on a mantle in direct sunlight near a window, as you know this would fade any artwork over time. Question: Can you make them by the cases at wholesale prices? Answer: Yes we sure can! Question: I'm an artist/photographer and have some images I own that would work great in your template. Would your company be willing to make a page just for me (less all this Q&A stuff) If I can send traffic to it and make a little money in the process? Answer: Yes we sure can! We have an affiliate program. Once you join for free you can download text/banner code to link to a page we can create just for you. We will brand all the products sold on it with your url. You would recieve 15% of any sales produced from a click over link from your site to your page on our site we host. If you are interested in something like this all we ask is that you buy one mug from this page as sort of a "proof mug" so you can see the quality of our product. From there we can also work out a wholesale plan if you sell to small or big shops as well and fulfill any need you may have for shows you may attend, etc. Now that we got that
out of the way, let's make a mug!
